Fatkhur Roifil Manan Digital : Karya Anak Pesantren
Alif pernah belajar Kitab Ilmu Falak Fatkhur Roifil Manan untuk mencari awal bula hijriyah, gerhana matahari dan rembulan. Dan kalau di test sekarang mungkin jalan pencariannya butuh dicari-cari lagi. Dan alhamdulillah kini sudah tersedia sebuah aplikasi yang menerjemahkan algoritma perhitungan HIsab dari kitab tersebuut untuk menentukan, menghitung dan mencari awal bulan Hijriyah, ke dalam sebuah aplikasi digital yang cukup anda klik, langsung bisa anda dapatkan hasilnya.

WinHisab : Membuat Jadwal Shalat dan Cari Ijtima'
Ini adalah aplikasi (Download Winhisab di sini) yang dibuat atas biaya DEPAG. Gunanya untuk membuat jadwal shalat dan mencari seluk beluk sifat-sifat matahari dan rembulan di suati masa, sehingga nantinya bisa digunakan dalam penentuan awal bulan Hijriyah yang selalu terjadi saja kontroversialnya.
Total Video Converter : Merubah ke format apapun
Video di atas adalah video keponakan alif ketika dipijit oleh sang dukun. Kebetulan, kemarin alif barusan pulang kampung, dan menyaksikan prosesi walimah tasmiah keponakan baru alif. Kebetulan Mas Imam memiliki perekam video baru merk Sun yang cukup baik untuk merekam dan memotret. Prosesi pembacaan AlBarzanji (bahasa banyumas berjanjen) hingga pencukuran rambut sang bayi, direkam oleh adik saya hingga berdurasi satu jam lebih dan menghasilkan 1.13 GB video *.3gp. Karena terlalu besar, padahal si perekam hanya memuat 2 GB card, maka si kakak minta untuk memindah video itu sekaligus membuatkan VCD-nya.
Akhirnya alif memakai Total Video Converter (Bisa anda download di sini, 7 MB) praktis dan lumayan cepat, alif tinggal menambah dan memilih file videonya, lalu menconversi ke format VCD, otomatis file terpecah menjadi dua dan di akhir proses langsung dimunculkan Wizard untuk membakar VCD itu dan akhirnya jadilah VCD yang mengabadikan wajah sang bayi dan saya yang membobong bayi tersebut.
Aplikasi lain yang agak serupa dan cukup ringan adalah Total Video Convertor, 3M B.
Winmount : Perpaduan Winzip dan Alcohol
Saya suka dengan aplikasi Winmount ini (Download Winmount 2.14 dan Winmount 3.01), karena saya tak perlu mengekstrak file zip-zipan atau rar-raran atau 7z-7zan alif, cukup klik kanan dan mount as new disk. Sehingga semua file master executable alif tak bisa diserang virus, dan membuat hardiks sedikit lega kapasitasnya.
Bisa juga Anda membuat hardisk image sebagaimana FreeOTFE yang bisa anda password dan mount secara ReadWrite. Mendukung file-file image cd yang cukup banyak. Ini dia sedikit kutipan yang malas alif terjemahkan [anda sudah pintar :-)] :

Efective File Search Vs FileSeeker
Alif sangat tidak nyaman dengan fasilitas search file bawaan dari Windows, terlalu ribet dan jalannya sangat lambat. Setelah mencoba beberapa search file folder dekstop manager, akhirnya menemukan aplikasi alternatif yang lebih handal dan cepat, sebut saja Agent Ransack, File Seeker dan terakhir yang palin alif suka adalah EF Search.
Efective file search (Download di sini) bisa mencari file dan folder dengan cepat, hasilnya bisa di open, cut, delete atau dibuka foldernya. Ada pilihan select all, sehingga ketika alif mencari virus-viru lokal yang jumlahnya ribuan, cukup cari *.exe lalu beri sepesifikasi besar file, lebih besar dari berapa dan lebih kecil dari berapa, search, baru setelah semua viru ketahuan, select all pada menu actions dan klik delete untuk aksi selanjutnya. Pernah alif mendelete 2.000-an file virus yang gambar folder itu, bayangkan kalo dicari dan dihapus secara manual.
Meski begitu tampilan dan kemudahan penggunaan file seeker, lebih banyak membuat alif memilih file seeker (Download di sini) untuk dipakai dalam kesehariannya.
